We went to Fly Kites

DSWAN organised a one day outing to Kuala Selangor.

Registration for 89 people on two buses and three cars.

Mother, daughter and grand-daughter
Mother and only son.

Mother and youngest son
Our kids enjoyed the bus ride.
Entrance to the bird ranch.

The bird nests.
We tried the bird nest in hot soup and cold refreshing pandan favour.

Bird nest cleaning and processing.

"Bugger" chicken and many other dishes for lunch.
Veteran kite flyer - our big sister in purple. :)

For some kids this is the first time they went to a beach and feel the sand!

Wonder women and moms teaching kids how to fly kites.

The heat is on..... A shady hiding place for some of us who are "puteri and putera lilin".
First time flying a kite - fully engrossed and satisfying. Our kids just held on to the strings and stood still to make sure the kites do not fly away.

Single daddies and uncles lent a hand to help bring down the kites when its time to go......

Fragrant pandan coconut drink to cool us down. Lovely sweet and succulent flesh mmm......

Try some "Char Kuey Teow"?

A tram ride up the hill to visit the light house and feeding friendly monkeys.

Monkeys, monkeys everywhere monkeys .....

Part of the group of 89 people.

Sea food dinner. Sorry no pictures of crabs, prawns and fish. All eaten already.

Dswan singles again had a wonderful day flying kites. :)
Join us the next time we organize an outing!
